Cyber-Bullying

I believe that students should be aware of the dangerous aspects of the internet and be educated on how to use it properly. Cyber-bullying is an a serious problem, as witness in the Amanda Todd case, and though I think that immediate punishment is fair to a certain degree; it is unrealistic to believe that this zero-tolerance policy will completely cease all acts of online harassment. Teens will be teens, and as brought up in class, will keep doing the same things, and unfortunately that includes acts bullying. Whether the bullying occurs online or in the "real world" it is likely to occur in some degree. That's why I believe that teens should be educated on the matter rather than being punished without knowing why what they did was so wrong.
