Reddit?

Maybe its because I live under a rock in the middle of nowhere located on a different planet, but I honestly had no idea of what reddit was. Since my major is all things media I thought I'd Google it,  and yes i did just use Google as a verb but anyway, I felt ashamed that I had no idea of what it was. I found this video very educating and decided to share it.

Social Media in China

I read an interesting article, titled Media Censorship in China By Beina Xu, that explains what is currently going on in China in relation to the internet and social media. Xu explains that even though china's government proclaims that its people have the right of freedom of speech and press, they hold a double standard when it comes to publications of journalistic content on the internet. I was completely unaware of how strictly internet usage was monitored. I strongly encourage people to read this article and tell me your impressions of it.
